Dear all in Blog-world and friends,
I do apolagise for my lack of updating. I forgot that I even had this blog. As you can assume, I finished placement in June 2008. My last act with OM Ireland was working as a Home office Rep. in TeenStreet Germany. It was an amazing experience. I was sleep deprived for the entire time, I had the worst diet, my brain was not functioning fast enough and I was alone for most of the time, but I learnt so much. I wouldn't change the experience for anyting.
During the summer I was unable to get a job. I had no idea what type of "Recession" was coming. If I had, I probably would have tried harder to secure anything. I applied for jobs for 8 months. I gave up during the Christmas holidays and decided to pick up the search again after summer exams.
4th year of college started back up in September of last year. It was definatly an uphill struggle to get back into the swing of college. I don't think I'm fully into a proper routine at all. At least I only have 2 months left of college.
I've decided to book my driving test. I've been driving properly for about 6 months. I know it's not that long but I really hope to get my license before the summer.
At the minute, I'm preparing to go to Kilkenny. I've been asked to help out with Connect '09. The youth weekend, hosted by OM Ireland, which I was involved with this time last year. I'm very excited to join the team down there to help with the Stage management. I know that it will be another great experience.
For New Media class, we were asked to interact with new forms of media. I decided to get a Twitter. It's basically an update feature. The only thing that is on your profile are your status updates or "tweets". Facebook, MySpace and Bebo all have these features as well. Accept Twitter only comprises of this one feature. You can send direct mail to other Twitters and reply to tweets, but that's it. It's described as a way to know what you're friends are doing in between blog entries.
If you want to add me on Twitter, my screen name is: Lynn_duh. But I will need to confirm you before you can "follow" my tweets.
I've really been trying to live in the moment. Not looking forward to the next year, month, week, hour. To enjoy the moment that I am in. Hence the title "No time like the present". I don't want to keep putting things off for another time, a better time. The time is now, the moment is now and I want to relfect that in the way I live.
Ok, I'm traveling to Kilkenny early tomorrow morning so will blog again when I get back.
Take care my lovelies!
