OM Ireland

Heya,
as most of you know, I'm working with OM Ireland next January for 5-6 months. This'll be full time work to comply with my course regulations. I've wanted to do something with Teenstreet since my first year going as a teen in 2002. The best part is it suits my course as I will be doing a combination of business and event management. I'm also nervous as it is my first time doing a "proper job". But I'm thrilled to be a part of something like Beyond 48. I'm not sure where I'll be based but I have been told that I will be spending some time in Donegal and possibly some time in Lacken house Roscommon, OM's new investment. I'll still be in Dublin for most of my placement. However, there is one big change, I will be taking a break from being a youth leader in Gap. I have been going to Gap ever since I was 12 years old. I graduated from being a teen, to being a LIT (Leader In Training), then on to being a full time leader, while in college. I have been a leader for about 2+a bit years now and have been going to Gap for a total of 9 years. It's hard to leave something that you have been a part of for nearly half your life. But, I know that this is what I want to do, which is an amazing feeling. Even if it is only for these 6 months, I know that I will benefit hugely from this experience. It'll be hard but nothing worth having comes easily.

I'll be updating this blog as it gets nearer to the time and during my time there. I'm really looking forward to it.

My final Gap of the year will be December 21st. I will be sharing about what exactly I'll be doing and what it means to me. It would be really great if you would be able to make it.

Thank you to everyone for your support.
