Heya,
It's been a while since I've been able to get onto this thing. My original idea for my blog was for it to be a plae where I could give advice to girls on life, from my own experiences. That didn't turn out to good. So, I've decided to just write what I feel and about what I'm going through and hopefully, it could help someone else.
Well, what have I been doing for the past few months? I finished and passed all my exams! Nice one! After weeks of job hunting and panic, I got a job as Junior sales assistant in the Body shop, yay! I had a good run of it during the summer. Now, I work 1-2 days a week, trying to build up enough cash to keep me going after Christmas. I'm in another year and not handling all that well. You know the phrase "hit the ground running" that applies to the past 3 months. I hit the ground but not running and have been dragged, behind a car, all down the road. There was no time to get used a college again. Also, with out event this year, and preparing for placement, I haven't had a chance to even tidy my room.
We have everything other college students have as well, classes, assignments, reviews, and exams. If we skip a class to do something for our event, we loose % for attendance. If we go to class, we miss out on precious minutes we could be phoning a potential sponsor of our event. It's like having 3 full time jobs. My roles at the minute are: full-time Student, full-time event manager, part-time employee, part-time sister, full-time daughter, full-time youth worker, and part-time friend. I cannot wait until Christmas when I can focus on one thing.
As most of you know, I am starting my work placement in January '08. I'm doing a full-time, 20 wk, placement with OM Ireland. I'm really looking forward to it. I have wanted to do something like this for 6 years but thought it would be after college until I had the oppotunity. I'm not sure where I'll be come January but it could be anywhere around Ireland. I'll keep you posted, ha get it!
Anywhoo, I should probably go,
Send me a text sometime, it's nice to catch up
Lynda
