Snore!
Unfortunately, it's that time again, when we all have to sit exams, write thesises (how many S's are in that word) and finish up assignments. However, unlike most years, we will not be going on 'Summer holidays', we will be starting our lives. We will not be getting 'Summer jobs'; we will be getting jobs (hopefully). We have no excuse to 'take it easy' for the summer. We missed our chance last summer.
I am currently in the middle of my exams. I have 2 more left and (for those who care) they are: Strategic management and Law. They are both quite hard for different reasons. Strategic is difficult because we were not allowed to take notes in class and there are not that many slides to work from. The whole class in confused as to what we might actually be asked a question on. Law is difficult, even though we have been given amazing notes, because there is so much information to remember. For each question you have to name at least 6 cases and sometimes even 12 cases. It is a lot of remembering for a 2 hour exam.
Ever since I started my final year, last September, I have been asked the same dreaded question: "So, do you have any plans for when you graduate?".
Well here's my answer:
"No, I have my own ideas, but nothing solid yet".
I am looking into a few areas. One of my possibilities is working with OMNI-Vision, based in the UK. I worked with them back in February at the Youth weekend 'Connect', run by OM Ireland. I really enjoyed the experience and working with the team. I am arranging to visit the offices at the end of May to talk about a possible position that would be suitable for me. This is only one of the options that I am thinking about but it is more exciting and more secure then any of the others.
I only have 4 official days left of college, which is the most surreal thought. Not only is it the end of my degree but it is also the end of my education as a whole. I have been attending schools since I was 4 years old and now the bell has rung, class is over!
