A lot has changed since my last blog entry. Just a quick paragraph to bring you up to speed:
From Sept '09 - May '09, I have been working in a jewellery shop called Pulse in Blackrock. Originally it was meant to be part-time, so that I could find something event related while still earning money. Then, over the Christmas and when my manager broke her arm, I was given full time hours and a lot more responsibility. I also earned enough money to go to LA and visit the college girls in Vancouver. When I got back, I applied for an Event management job in Oxford. I got a tip from Linda Gason that they were looking for a 'Project and Festivals Coordinator', basically my dream job. I sent in my 6 pages application, was called for a phone interview, was flown over for an in person interview and got the job! For the last 2 weeks I have been planning the big move over to the UK.
It is now less then 24 hours before I move over so I decided to start the old blog back up. This is so that when I chat to people back home, we don't have to spend 3 hours catching up on WHAT has been happening, but we can share HOW we feel about what's happening. I will be staying with one of the girls who works for the company, in their spare room. I will be viewing properties this week and hopefully find somewhere permenant quite soon.
I start on June 1st as May 31st is a bank holiday in the UK. I am bringing over 2 large suitcases and bringing one empty one back on June 5th, to fill back up before my drama Associate exam on June 6th. I fly back that night to start my first full week at work on June 7th.
